Raising Testosterone Naturally

I like to watch Friday Night Fights.  However, I find the TV ads during that time slot really annoying.  Based on the repetition of ads about hair loss, erectile function, and prostate problems, one would guess that men (The predominant viewer), are ALL bald, impotent, and unable to hold our bladders!

More importantly the ads portray men as feminine, incompetent, weaklings.  Advertisers play up the persona of a tail tucked, wimpy caricature of a man that needs their product to have any success in life.

That’s all phooey.

 Men need testosterone!

(So do women but in lessor and different ratios).

So how do they get testosterone without dangerous and expensive hormone supplementation?

Recently I began introducing the concept of purposefully adding essential fats and cholesterol at specific times of the day to enhance hormone production.  From a physiologic standpoint, our bodies make testosterone and other hormones primarily from the “Chassis” of cholesterol.  High stress, poor diet, excess alcohol, lack of physical activity, Statin drugs, and chronic narcotics all contribute to lower sex hormone production.

In essence I’m encouraging my patients to consume raw ingredients for hormone production at specific times daily.

Over the last few months I’ve put several men on the following regimen for raising testosterone naturally.  The following results from an actual patient…we’ll call Kip….were repeated with the other cases.

Note the considerable increase from a “low” normal range in 12/2012 to a “solid” normal range in 4/2013.

 What did he do?

1-2 boiled eggs morning/night (Night most important)

3-5 Macadamia nuts morning/night (Again, night most important)

That’s it!  No other changes.

Patient’s like Kip with improving testosterone levels typically notice better energy, improved libido, improved erectile function, better recovery from exercise, less moodiness, and generally a better sense of well-being.

No more stereotypes.  We don’t need drugs or huge doses of dangerous synthetics to boost hormones.  We can do that naturally with real food nutritional options.
